If possible, this issue has become even more complicated over the last few days. On al-Quds days, Iran's internal divisions showed themselves in rallies and attacks on leading reformists. President Ahmadinejad also used the day to attack Israel and the to call the Holocaust a "false pretext" or "lie." (http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2009/09/200991875246806121.html)
Israel responded, indirectly, on Monday by reiterating that no option has been ruled out in response to the Iranian nuclear program. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8267189.stm)
Neither of these moves has made the position of the six world powers, set to begin talks with Iran next month, any easier.
