IMEMC, January 6, 2014 – A number of Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian school and a water tank in Orif village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Local residents chased the settlers out of their village and clashed with Israeli soldiers, who invaded the village and attacked the residents.

Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of Israeli Settlements File at the Palestinian Authority in the northern part of the West Bank, stated that six settlers of the Yitzhar nearby illegal settlement attacked the village’s school, destroying the electric sensors of a local water tank used by the villagers.

Daghlas added that dozens of residents clashed with the settlers, while Israeli soldiers invaded the village and fired gas bombs at the residents, causing several villagers to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation..
