Israeli secret service Mossad hires rabbi to advise it on tactics and operations
Feb 17 2014 / 8:41 pmRedress 2/17/14 – The Israeli secret service Mossad is so riddled with religious recruits that it has hired an official rabbi to advise agents and employees on a wide range of issues, the ultra-right-wing Israeli news website Arutz Sheva 7 reports.
The website quoted a Mossad source as telling the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv that
there are many religious people in the Mossad, and that number has grown quite a bit in recent years. In the past, the IDF [“Israel Defence Forces” – the terrorist occupation army] chief rabbi would advise agents, but with the larger number of employees here the Mossad realized that it needs its own rabbi.
The rabbi doesn’t just issue rulings on personal religious matters but, believe it or not, also “discusses tactics and methods of operation with agents, in order to reassure them that they are operating as closely to the ritual and ethical mandates of Jewish law as possible”, Arutz Sheva 7 said.
And what are these “ritual and ethical mandates of Jewish law”? you might ask.
The Old Testament leaves us in no doubt. It says:
- You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. (Leviticus, 26:7–8)
- When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations … you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. (Deuteronomy 7:1–2)
- Do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them … as the Lord your God has commanded you … (Deuteronomy 20:16)
Now you know. And it explains a lot..
