Israeli Army Carries Out A Limited Invasion Into Southern Gaza
Jun 1 2014 / 9:29 pmIMEMC – A number of armored Israeli military vehicles invaded Palestinian farmlands, east of Rafah and Khan Younis cities, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and opened fire at random before uprooting farmlands.
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) has reported that four tanks and two armored military bulldozers, stationed at the Kissufim military base across the border, advanced more than 200 meters into Palestinian farmlands, and fired rounds of live ammunition at nearby homes.
The army uprooted farmlands in the area while Israeli drones, and a few army helicopters, were flying over the besieged coastal region.
Soldiers frequently conduct limited invasions into the Gaza Strip amongst ongoing assaults and violations against Palestinian farmers and workers, in Palestinian lands close to the border fence.
The attacks are part of ongoing violations against fishers and their boats, in Palestinian territorial waters, and even while docked at the shore.
